Presented by: Jennifer Diaz, Esq. of Diaz Trade Law in Miami, FL.  

Ms. Diaz is Board Certified in International Law and an expert on international trade and customs laws. She serves national and international clients. 

Ms. Diaz is an expert in working with the many Federal agencies including the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) regulating trade. She handles issues relating to “pre-compliance” including assuring compliance with federal government agencies and intellectual property right (IPR) protection, including registration and recordation of IPR is accomplished prior to importation.  She successfully navigates clients to assure compliance with CBP.  This  includes proper assessment of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), country of origin labeling, valuation and free trade agreement usage.  Jennifer frequently assists companies in applying for and being accepted in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program.
 
The Florida Bar approved 1.0 CLE credit hour, 1.0 CLE hour for Board Certified Lawyers in: Antitrust & Trade Regulation Law, Business Litigation, and International Law.
